Thank you, Lord, for teaching me again. I have learned something new in your word for each of the last 3 days and find that exciting. Please continue to show me new things each day as I continue to seek you.

Laura, I delight in showing myself to you and in teaching you new things. It’s like how you love to give Katrina and Mercy gifts and teach them something new. I am the same way. I get excited to see you lay burdens down and pick up new gifts.I love to see your eyes light up when you learn something new.

When you hold onto bondage, it hurts me though. Just like you’ve told your dad and Randy that it hurts you to see them hurt. Imagine how it is for me. I love you way more than you’ll ever love either one of them. So the next time I prompt you, please let go of your burdens and accept the gifts I’m trying to give you.

Lord, I cry out to you (sometimes literally) and feels like you aren’t listening, or that if you are listening, you don’t care.

I am listening, Laura, and I do care, but you can’t just ask. You’ve also got to receive. You get so uptight and you leave my gift setting on the shelf. You have to pick up the peace, healing, or wisdom you are crying out for.

I love you so much Lord! I am so hungry for your presence! Come into this place, I pray.I need you Lord! I need your tangible presence!

Just stand and wait Laura. It’s just you and me here.

Lord, for some reason, when you spoke those words, I crumbled. For some reason, all the expectation of who I am and should be and how I would act, crumble. Thank you, Lord, for setting me free!

I love you Laura. If you will learn to see this as that place, that one oasis where it is just you and me, you won’t have any more trouble keeping these daily devotion times.Right now, you hold on so tightly to stay on the tightrope that you’re constantly tense, constantly under pressure. I want you to let that go in my presence and I will help you to let it go during the day as well. Lean on me Laura. Relax.

Precious Lord, please reveal your heart to me.

My heart hurts when yours hurts. When that deep, gut-wrenching, breathtaking cry comes out, my hands are on your shoulders and the tears run down my cheeks as well. I am with you and I understand your pain.

Lord, it’s been a long day. It’s good to finally spend time with you.

Laura, the only reason you should ever miss me is if you are not taking time to listen to me throughout the day. I am always with you and am always willing to speak if you will turn your ear toward me and listen.

Laura, you notice as you lean back and close your eyes how you feel my presence surround you; as you pray in the Spirit how close my presence seems? I want you to practice this throughout the day tomorrow. Each time you sit at a red light, just relax and pray in tongues. You will be surprised by how much this will change your attitude throughout the day.

Would you let me take this doubt from your mind? This is why praise is so important. When you declare my goodness, when you declare my faithfulness, when you declare my love, it dispels doubt and fear.

These years of pain, tears, and intercession are much like the labor pains of a woman. Though the pain and tears last for the night, my joy comes in the morning. The pain is worth it. New life will be born. The person you are praying for will come home to me.

I thank you, Lord, for every victory that was won through my prayers tonight. Thank you, Lord, for freedom.

Laura, don’t forget that I understand your weaknesses and I am not angry with you when you mess up. I love you. All that I ask is that you come to me and ask for forgiveness when you mess up. Seek me and you will find me true. Don’t cower in your sin and disgrace. Come to me so I can remove it. I have felt your pain. I have carried your weights. I am with you every minute of every day. It is up to you, though, to lean on me for strength and to give me those burdens that are too heavy to bear. Trust me Laura. I love you! I LOVE YOU! I love you!

God Speaks!

At first, I wondered what i should do with this website… what could I do with it that could impact the lives of others? One of the projects I am currently working on is typing up the journals that I kept throughout the years. Most of them are conversations that I had with God.

I think a lot of people, even Christians, in this world do not realize that God desires to speak to them, personally, each and every day. We get so busy with our families, jobs, and even recreation that we hardly ever stop to breathe, much less listen for that still small voice. Many of our prayers are one-liners, shot up in the middle of the day. Or lists of requests that we bring before him as we nod off to sleep. But He longs to talk to us! Not just listen to us.

Yes, He does talk to us through His written word. But there is also His Rhema word (that which is spoken at this moment in time, vs that which God spoke many years ago); that which He speaks straight to your heart.

In the posts that follow, i will share with you some of the conversations I have had with God throughout the years that I feel He is leading me to share. Some of them were recorded many years ago (from as early as the age of 15) and some were recorded very recently. I hope that as you read them God will speak to you as well.

But more than that, I hope you will take the time to listen to Him yourself. He does want to talk to you! I encourage you to enter His presence with worship and begin to open up your heart to Him. Everything that concerns you, concerns Him. He cares about every detail of your life. Nothing you say will make Him angry and nothing you say is a secret to Him. He knows you far better than you know yourself.

So, please, turn off the T.V. and radio, take a journal, pen, and Bible and get off by yourself, and then simply say, “I’m here Father, please speak to me whatever you want me to hear.”

It doesn’t matter if you do this in the morning or night, outside or inside, at church, home, in your car, or in public. I have heard that still, small, voice in my room, at the park, in restaurants, at church, in my car, and countless other places. He is always with me, and He often longs to speak to me… but it is up to me to pause and listen.

May your relationship with God become more intimate than ever before as you hear Him speak His words of love, hope, and a future into your heart!
